Jon Stewart was never funny as the host of Comedy Central’s liberal-biased The Daily Show, and he clearly has not gotten any better in his retirement. The grey-bearded former comedy superstar recently ventured back into the spotlight at a charity comedy show in New York City, and ended up embarrassing himself by making strange, insulting jokes about Donald Trump supporters.
Stewart started innocently enough at the Stand Up for Heroes at the 2017 New York Comedy Festival, which had the commendable aim of raising money for wounded veterans. He made fun of his current appearance, saying, “This must be so exciting for you to see me here. ‘Oh, I can’t believe it, it’s Jon Stewart’s grandfather!’”
Like every single other liberal America, one full year after the 2016 election Stewart still expressed shock that Trump defeated anointed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. He pretended to have “blacked out” after the election. He asked, “What happened? Did my candidate win?” He went on with his pathetic disbelief, saying, “I understand the people that felt like the forgotten man, or, this guy talks straight talk, so I’m going to vote for him. How does that happen?”
Stewart continued about Trump voters, “You know who I want to vote for is that very staid, professorial gentleman from Kenyan birth who has an articulate sense and is a bit standoffish, that’s the guy that I really love. But since he’s not running this year… I’m gonna check out the ‘grab ‘em by the pussy’ candidate.”
He then took it to the next level, saying, “How do you even get there? That’s really, I think, where our country is at right now. We put our dick in the toaster and we’re all waiting to see what happens. What the fuck, man?” Do you think it’s disgusting that Stewart thinks that the more than 60 million people who voted for Republican Trump “Put their dick in the toaster”?
